The Aegina Fistiki Fest will take place for the 8th consecutive year on 15-18 September 2016, organised by the Municipality of Aegina in collaboration with local producers. This year is a double fest for the island as it is the 100 anniversary from birth date of the renowned Greek painter Yiannis Moralis.
With “Sweet Pistachio” Aegina welcome the visitors to this year’s festival. It is a theatrical presentation which will take you back in time to the 1960s, creating a vintage atmosphere along with the orchestra of traditional instruments and local dance groups.
Apart from the trade exhibition along the coastline of Aegina’s town, the Aegina Fistiki Fest includes gastronomy events, creative activities, workshops for children, concerts, seminars etc.
The fest is dedicated to the internationally known Pistachio (Fistiki) of Aegina Island (a Protected Designation of Origin product) with its unique taste and quality. It takes place every year since 2009 in the middle of September, when the pistachio’s harvest is completed.
The Aegina Fistiki Fest secretary is housed at the office of KEDA in Aegina town. The office is open from 9:00-12:00.
