American Millennials Pick Greece as Their Favorite Tourism Destination
Greece was named the “Favorite Country” of American millennial travelers for the fourth consecutive year in the context of “The Trazees 2023” awards, organized for the ninth year by FXEpress Publications.
The awards are voted for by the readers of TrazeeTravel.com, the sister web publication of American travel magazine Global Traveler, which specializes in the under 35 market, providing information on destinations around the world and current travel trends.
Voting for this year’s awards was open from December 6, 2022 to May 15, 2023, with readers expressing their preferences in dozens of categories, including “favorite country”, as well as airlines and airports, hotels and hotel chains, cruise lines and tour operators, adventure, gastronomy and honeymoon destinations, among others.
Greece’s “Favorite Country” award was accepted by the Greek National Tourism Organization US branch Head Konstantinos Harokopos during the award ceremony at the Dallas Aloft Downtown Hotel in Dallas, TX, USA.

According to the site, Trazee readers average six foreign trips every three years, with more than 90 percent having passports. Millennials account for 20 percent of all international tourists.
