Eurail/Interrail Offer Discount Pass to the Greek Islands
Eurail and Interrail have launched this year’s version of their Greek Islands Pass, offering EU and non-EU citizens the opportunity to visit the Greek islands this summer.
The pass runs in two versions: a 6–day that includes two international travel days and a 4–day that is valid for domestic routes.
Holders of the 6–day pass can travel to and from Greece (two free international travel days) within a month and have 4 free day trips (on the domestic routes only). Furthermore, the pass’s price includes bus and train transfer from the international port of Patras to the domestic port of Piraeus and ferry seat upgrades while on board with a 30 percent discount.
The 4-day pass (economy class only) offers four domestic travel days and 30 percent discount on accommodation upgrades and any additional domestic ferries.
The passes cover domestic routes run by Blue Star Ferries or Hellenic Seaways to Crete, the Cyclades, Dodecanese, Sporades, North and North East Aegean and islands on the Saronic Gulf with the 6-day pass also covering international routes run by Superfast Ferries and ANEK Lines.
Both passes offer seat reservations free of charge but reservations are mandatory to travel onboard all ferries. Fuel surcharge and port fees are included in the Pass fare.
