Marketing Greece Invites Travelers to Listen to the ‘Echoes’ of Epirus
Marketing Greece recently released a new short film to promote the lesser-known region of Epirus in Greece, which has a number of unique sites that are sure to impress travelers.
Titled “Epirus: Echoes Of Eternity“, the film showcases the region’s natural beauty, intangible cultural heritage and hospitable locals.
The natural sounds of the region are among the highlights of the film. Visitors are invited to take the time and experience them.
“Epirus has secrets that have lasted forever. Either she will whisper them or she will shout them,” the voice over in the video says (in Greek).
In the film, Epirus is presented as a place that has its own time and it’s up to the traveler to decide how to explore and experience all that the region has to offer.
“The more you explore it, the more you’ll want to travel slower and deeper. You’ll find rugged beauty unfolding before you on an epic scale and traditions (like the UNESCO-protected Polyphonic songs of Epirus) echoing across the sweeping valleys and through deep gorges… eternal, unchanging and preserved from generation to generation,” says Marketing Greece.
Through 3D audio technology, the film transports viewers to the region, providing an immersive experience that captures the essence of its destinations. Having sustainable development as a priority the film encourages travelers to explore Epirus responsibly in order to protect the region’s environment and identity: “Tread lightly for here the earth is full of gifts!”.
Marketing Greece hopes to celebrate and preserve Epirus through this film, and encourages travelers to do the same.
For the ultimate viewing experience, the film is best enjoyed with headphones. It promises to provide a unique and experiential journey through the natural splendor of Epirus. With its focus on intangible cultural heritage and sustainable development, the film is sure to attract travelers who are seeking an authentic and responsible travel experience.
The “Epirus: Echoes Of Eternity” video was produced in collaboration with AEGEAN and Okay Nice production company, and under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and the Epirus Region.
