K-Pop Star’s Athens Music Video Goes Viral with 40 Million Views
Athens, Greece is currently basking in the limelight, thanks to the recent release of a K-Pop music video by Thai rapper and singer BamBam, a member of the world-renowned GOT7 boy band.
The music video, titled “Sour & Sweet”, was released just last month and has already amassed a staggering 40 million views on the artist’s YouTube channel. The video has received immense praise for its cinematography and unique filming locations.
In the video, BamBam can be seen investigating a crime across various locations in Athens, only to later discover that he was the perpetrator all along.
The three-day shoot for the viral YouTube release took place at several locations around Athens, including the premises of the historic central building of the National Theater of Greece, which was designed by Ernst Ziller.
The atrium of the Zappeion Convention Center, the Acropolis as a backdrop, and seaside locations at Attica’s southeast suburbs, among other areas, were also used for the shoot.
During his solo album press conference, BamBam expressed his excitement about filming in Athens and praised his collaboration with the local crew. He also highlighted that he would never have had the opportunity to explore the beauty of the Greek capital if it weren’t for this video shoot.
BamBam, whose real name is Kunpimook Bhuwakul, started his music career at the age of 17. He is considered a prominent figure in both the advertising and social media industries in Thailand, and his Twitter account was among the most mentioned entertainment accounts in his country in 2019.
In 2021, Vogue Thailand recognized BamBam as one of the 100 most influential figures in the Thai fashion industry. He is also an active advocate against child abuse and for teen mental health in his home country.
Best Boy Double B BamBam! I would love to visit Greece someday.
