Sabre Appoints Guy Barnes to Lead Sabre Hospitality Sales in Europe
Sabre Corporation, a leading provider of software and technology for the global travel industry, has recently announced the appointment of Guy Barnes as the Head of Sales for Europe in its hospitality division.
In his new role, Barnes will be responsible for leading Sabre Hospitality’s sales in Europe and leveraging Sabre’s success with the SynXis platform and the latest innovation, SynXis Retail Studio.
The platform enables hoteliers to sell anything at the time of booking, expanding revenue streams by creating choices for guests beyond the room.
“We are delighted to have Guy join the Sabre Hospitality team,” said Sabre Hospitality SVP Global Managing Director Frank Trampert adding that Barnes’ extensive experience can help the company further develop mutually valuable partnerships in Europe and expand its commercial business success.
As a member of the Sabre family, Barnes, who boasts over 25 years of experience in the travel industry, aims to partner with hotels and improve their commercial performance while optimizing day-to-day operations management and driving sustainable and long-term success.
“My goal is to help more hotels generate increased revenue from their hotel assets, thereby expanding their revenue streams,” said Barnes stressing the need for hoteliers to change their mindset in order to “deliver innovative customer service and increase their commercial revenue.”
According to Barnes, Sabre’s acquisition of Nuvola, a task management and operations optimization software last year, will allow Sabre to integrate a new way of fulfilling sales into daily operations, enhancing the guest experience under its SynXis Operations Studio.
Sabre Corporation provides retailing, distribution, and fulfillment solutions to travel companies worldwide, including airlines, hoteliers, and travel agencies.
Sabre’s technology platform manages more than 260 billion dollars worth of global travel spend annually. With headquarters in Southlake, Texas, Sabre serves customers in more than 160 countries around the world.
