Transavia to Fly Direct to Kefalonia from Paris in Summer 2023
Low-cost Dutch airline Transavia, part of the Air France-KLM group, this summer will operate direct flights between Paris and the Greek island of Kefalonia two times per week, according to the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).
The announcement was made during a special event held recently in Paris by the GNTO office in France.
Transavia flights between the two destinations will run between April 22 and October 28.

Speaking during the event, Transavia Chief Commercial Officer Nicolas Henin said the new route has attracted a warm response from customers as tickets for Kefalonia are already being booked.
Held at the Pavillon Elysée in Paris, the event was attended by journalists and French tourism professionals who had the opportunity to learn about the natural beauty, culinary identity and rich cultural heritage of Kefalonia through a presentation by the GNTO’s director in France, Dimitra Voziki.
“With Greece among the top travel destinations for French travelers, journalists and professionals attending the event had the opportunity to discover a strong new destination, which is expected to be very popular among tourists from France,” the GNTO said.

On her part, the special tourism advisor of the Tourism Committee of the Argostoli Kefalonia Municipality, Marina Vergoti, highlighted the importance of the island’s opening to the French market.
“This confirms the strength of the destination,” she said during the event.

Following the event, the online tourism media Mister Travel ran a feature on Kefalonia and Transavia’s direct flight from Paris. The feature was written by journalist Evelyne Dreyfus who will travel to the island to experience the destination in person in the near future.
