Hotels: Rising Energy Prices, Staff Shortage on Agenda of 6th IHF Event in Athens

Thought leaders from some of the world’s strongest brands in hospitality will gather in Athens at the 6th International Hospitality Forum (IHF) to discuss securing resources to address today’s major challenges in the sector.

Organized by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and powered by Phocuswright, the global leader in primary market research for the hospitality industry, the forum will take place at the Metropolitan Expo on the sidelines of the HORECA 2023 exhibition on February 10.

“In a transitional ‘multi-crisis’ environment, the International Hospitality Forum, for the sixth consecutive year, becomes a meeting point and dialogue platform for speakers with a global appeal,” Hellenic Chamber of Hotels President Alexandros Vassilikos said during a press conference on Wednesday.

The forum’s agenda this year will address the current challenges in hospitality on resource efficiency in terms of human capital and energy consumption as well as sustainable growth opportunities.

During the forum, high-level executives from leading international hotel companies, globally recognized consulting firms, influencers, and professionals in the tourism industry will analyze the trends shaping the future of hospitality in Greece.

Highlighting the event’s significance for the sector, Vassilikos informed that the 6th International Hospitality Forum will also be available via live stream for professionals all over the world.

According to Vassilikos, the high interest of virtual attendance is impressive.

“Access to data, primary information and specialized knowledge are important competitive advantages for any business strategy that – in order to be successful – must adapt in time to the trends and demands of the global market,” he said.
