Cyprus Airways Announces Direct Flights to Dubai
Cyprus Airways, the flag-carrier of Cyprus, has announced a new route connecting the island nation to Dubai.
After extensive negotiations, the airline has secured the necessary permissions and landing slots to operate three direct weekly flights between Larnaca and Dubai (DBX) international airports.
Commencing on March 27, flights will depart Larnaca every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 15:15 local time, arriving at DBX after three and a half hours, at 19:45 local time. Return flights to Larnaca will run on the same days departing at 20:55 from Dubai and arriving at 23:35 at Larnaca.
“Opening up flights to Dubai was high on our agenda and we have been working very hard to secure rights and slots to operate such services,” said Chief Executive of Cyprus Airways Paul Sies, adding that the United Arab Emirates is an important gateway to the company’s ever-increasing network.
This new route is part of the airline’s ongoing efforts to expand its network and better serve the local communities and businesses in Cyprus by providing multiple connectivity options to other destinations in the Middle East, Far East, and beyond.
Cyprus Airways operates two Airbus A320 aircraft fleet which are currently operating on an eighteen-scheduled destination network. Winter destinations include Athens, Beirut, Tel Aviv, Yerevan, Paris and Rome. Additionally, summer destinations include Basel, Zurich, Milan-Bergamo, Prague, Santorini, Skiathos, Rhodes, Heraklion (Crete), Cairo.
