The Ellinikon Experience Park Announces Festive Christmas Events
The Ellinikon Experience Park has announced its 2022 Christmas program of events aiming to attract both residents and visitors of Athens.
The park will welcome the festive season with a unique lighting show scheduled to take place on December 9, at 7pm.
With the park’s fountain as a starting point, a show will take place combining music, dance and imagination. Then, the main lighting event will transform the area into a fairytale setting with blue and purple colors.
The domino of lights will then create luminous images and designs in Plazza A before it reaches the park’s Christmas Tree and gives way to a spectacle of eco-fireworks.
Music group “Musicians of the Box”, from the popular TV show “Music Box”, will fill the Christmas scene with a special accompanying soundtrack.
This year’s festivities at the Experience Park, which will run to January 8, 2023, will hold many surprises throughout the season.
For the entire Christmas period, each area will “hide” a unique, interactive experience that will “come to life” with its visitors’ energy, giving sparkle and light to the decorated park.
The journey will begin at the Hill of Lights and continue at the Garden of Reflections, where guests can play a specially designed game with mirrors.
Those who visit Plazza B will walk through the largest, interactive projection mapping in Greece, and discover how their steps can change the designs of the Magic Christmas Carpet.
Kids can visit the Christmas Hub, located next to the park’s fountain, and create original Christmas ornaments, with sustainable materials.
The festive experience wraps up with seasonal food suggestions from Burger Joint, Bubble Tale, Hans & Gretel, LUKUMADES, Johnnie Hot Dog, ESTEBAN Burrito Bar and Falafeladiko, set around the Christmas Tree.
The glitz of the Ellinikon Experience Park and its interactive experiences and surprises, are all inspired by the principles of sustainable development that govern its design and operation.
During these holidays, the energy needed to cover the lighting needs will come from renewable sources. In addition, all lights used will be LED, ensuring an energy saving of up to 80 percent compared to conventional lighting.
Visitors can access the Ellinikon Experience Park from Vouliagmenis Avenue, near the Ellinikon metro station. Parking is free.
