Greek destinations, known for their cultural richness and natural beauty, were the “stars” at ANEK Lines’ stand at the TTG Travel Experience Fair, Italy’s key B2B show for the promotion of global tourism, held in Rimini.

In its 59th edition, the TTG Travel Experience Fair saw a 25 percent increase in participants compared to 2021 with 1,000 foreign buyers from 50 countries, according to the Italian Exhibition Group, the event’s organizer.

During the exhibition, Cretan coastal shipping company ANEK Lines welcomed tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers, and other tourism business representatives from around the world to its modern stand. The company’s team informed visitors about the Greek island destinations on ANEK Lines schedule; the year-round routes available; the top-notch services offered on board; and the ticket discounts offered to those over 60, young people, families, groups and members of the Anek Smart Bonus Program.

ANEK Lines has a fleet of 8 ships serving international routes in the Adriatic Sea and domestic routes in Greece which include destinations on Crete, the Cyclades and the Dodecanese.

ANEK Lines’ participation at the TTG Travel Experience Fair follows the company’s plan to represent Greece in a string of European tourism expos, according to its representatives.

According to an announcement in September, ANEK will be absorbed by Greek passenger shipping company Attica Group. The process is expected to be completed in early 2023, once the agreement is approved by the Hellenic Competition Commission.
