Travelport Delivers American Airlines NDC Content to Agents in 53 Countries Across EMEA and APAC
Travelport, a global travel technology company, recently announced that agency customers in 53 countries across APAC and EMEA all have access to American Airlines New Distribution Capability (NDC) content through the Travelport+ travel retailing platform.
“NDC is taking off, and it’s only going to get more important as more airlines expand their offers,” said Travelport Global Vice President & Global Head of Airline Partners Damian Hickey.
Earlier this year, Travelport launched American’s NDC content for Travelport-connected retailers in North America and Latin America and the company has recently signed a new long-term deal with the airline. With the addition of 53 countries across APAC and EMEA, Travelport is now providing accessible NDC content from American to travel retailers located in a total of 73 countries worldwide.
“The European marketplace has been on the forefront of NDC for some time, and as APAC is seeing a lot of momentum in accelerating this side of travel retail, Travelport is focused on delivering the dynamic offers and more choice that retailers need and making it easily accessible through our Travelport+ marketplace,” Hickey added.
Travelport-connected travel retailers in the following countries across APAC now have access to American Airlines NDC content through Travelport+: Australia, Greater China, Fiji, French Polynesia, India, Japan, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
In EMEA, Travelport-connected travel retailers in the following countries now have access to American Airlines NDC content through Travelport+: Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal,
Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UAE and United Kingdom.

American have designated Travelport with trusted partner status and as such, all Travelport IATA customers using Travelport+ have access to American NDC content without additional airline registration requirements.
