New CEO Named for Athens Development and Destination Management Agency
The Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (ADDMA) recently announced that Epameinondas Mousios has been appointed as new chief executive officer. He takes the helm from Evangelos Vlachos who had been the agency’s CEO since October 2019.
Also known as EATA in Greek, ADDMA serves as the official Destination Management Organization (DMO) of the Greek capital.
Mousios was previously the director of the political office of Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis, and ADDMA’s vice president from 2019 to 2022.
He has also worked as councilor to the mayor of Karpenisi from 2011 to 2014, and councilor to the governor of the Region of Central Greece from 2014 to 2019.
Mousios has a degree from the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete as well as a master’s degree in Quality Control and Environmental Management from the Technical University of Crete.
The Athens Development and Destination Management Agency is the Greek capital’s DMO and operates the Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), the city’s official tourism board. The agency supports Athens’ ongoing evolution as a contemporary European capital, by designing, planning and implementing a wide range of projects throughout its metropolitan area.
ADDMA plays a pivotal role in supporting the Municipality of Athens to deliver its integrated development strategic plan, to establish Athens as an attractive destination for its residents, visitors, investors and entrepreneurs.
Moreover, ADDMA plans, implements and manages actions and projects that address social cohesion, promote urban sustainability, and boost competitiveness and entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
