Greece Looking to Attract Travelers from France and Sweden in Autumn, Winter
Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias is on an official visit to Paris to promote Greece at the IFTM-Top Résa 2022 international tourism trade show that opened Tuesday.
According to a ministry announcement, the minister’s visit to Paris is part of the strategy to further extend Greece’s tourism season and attract travelers in the autumn and winter months.
While in Paris, Kikilias will meet with his European counterparts and leading French tour operators, investors and airline representatives, including Air France, Transavia, SELECTOUR and Voyage Privé. On Thursday, Kikilias will meet with the Michelin guide’s head and representative responsible for the European market.
During the IFTM-Top Résa expo, Kikilias will visit the Greek pavilion accompanied by GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Fragakis.
The Greek tourism minister on Thursday evening will go to Stockholm, his last stop of the first cycle of visits to capitals of central and northern Europe that started at the beginning of September with trips to Berlin and Vienna.
In Stockholm, Kikilias will meet with the Swedish Association of Travel Agencies, the heads of leading tour operators of the Nordic market (Apollo, DETUR, Nordic Leisure Travel Group, Airtours etc.), the heads of airlines (Eurowings) and representatives of SPF-Seniorerna Pensioners Association of Sweden.
