Ethiopian Airlines Opens 5-Star In-Terminal Hotel at Addis Ababa Airport
Ethiopian Airlines Group, the largest aviation group in Africa, has opened a new transit hotel inside the terminal of Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.
Managed by Ethiopian Skylight Hotel as Ethiopian Skylight In-Terminal Hotel, the new establishment is physically connected to Addis Ababa Bole International Departure Terminal 02 with a short walking distance from the departure gates.
“As a customer-focused airline, we want our passengers to enjoy every minute they spend with us, even their transit hours at the airport,” Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said.
A two-phased project, the in-terminal hotel began construction in December 2020 and reached the completion of the first phase, availing 41 modern, spacious, and luxurious rooms for guests. The second phase is expected to be completed by October 2022 with the hotel then featuring 97 rooms.
The lavish Ethiopian Skylight In-Terminal Hotel includes a restaurant and incorporates various categories of rooms such as an executive suite, a premium room for the differently abled, interconnected rooms, twin rooms, and double rooms.
As highlighted by Ethiopian Airlines, the new in-terminal hotel will cater to passengers and crews who do not wish to leave the airport and will offer them the most convenient travel experience possible, making Addis Ababa Bole preferable for seamless connections.
“We want passengers to depart from their origin city without a single worry about their transit time at Addis Ababa Airport should they choose to stay there as we are waiting for them with a comfortable space where they can freshen up before boarding their next flight,” the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group said.
