The coastal area of Astros in Kinouria will be the third stop of the Peloponnese Food Stories, the culinary festival taking place for the first time this summer in various locations around the Region of the Peloponnese.

Following Peloponnese Food Stories events in Areopoli and Koroni, a gastronomy festival is scheduled to be held at the open air theater of Astros in the area of Kinouria on August 26.

Astros is a town near the Argolic gulf in eastern Arcadia, in northeastern Peloponnese. The town is accessible by the highway connecting Corinth and Argos to the south.

Promoting local culinary traditions

The Peloponnese Food Stories festival aims to promote the gastronomy features of the region’s destinations such as local ingredients, traditional recipes and their modern versions.

Furthermore, it aims to establish a commercial communication channel between producers and visitors.

The Region of the Peloponnese, organizer of the event, is calling on Kinouria’s gastronomy businesses to participate in the festival and promote their products for free. Applications must be submitted via e-mail at press@arcadinet.gr by August 22.

For more information about the application process (in Greek) visit the Arcadia Chamber’s website here.
