CapsuleT, Greece’s tourism startup accelerator, was honored with the title of “Best Accelerator/Incubator Program” at the South Europe Startup Awards (SESA) 2022.
An initiative of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH), Capsule T is Greece’s first travel and hospitality accelerator that aims to enhance the country’s startup travel technology ecosystem.
CapsuleT ranked first in its category at the SESA awards among other finalists coming from Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus and Portugal.
During the last three years, CapsuleT has also received honors at the Tourism Awards in Greece.
“This proves that when there is vision, target and collective participation, we can create new perspectives for our industry, hospitality and tourism, but also overall perspectives for the recognition and development of new collaborations with partners abroad,” HCH President Alexandros Vassilikos said.
CapsuleT Director Katerina Saridaki spoke about the award’s significance for the accelerator’s community.
“This award concerns our entire community. It is a moment of celebration but also a moment of responsibility towards what we do and our next steps. We thank all those who support us and of course those who voted for us during the public voting process, and the committee of the SESA Awards for this honorable distinction,” she said.
Part of the Global Startup Awards network, SESA launched in 2019 and hosts a competition to recognise the best talents of the startup ecosystem in Southern Europe. SESA aspires to become the one-stop-shop event for each of the participating countries’ startup ecosystems. It aims to inspire, stimulate and recognize the entrepreneurial spirit, disruptive innovation capacity, ecosystem cohesion and collaboration for the benefit of each country’s economic growth.
SESA covers the following countries: Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain.
