Neptune Hotels Resort on Kos Holds Blood Donation Drive
The Neptune Hotels Resort, Convention Centre & Spa on the Greek island of Kos recently held a blood donation drive at its premises with the voluntary participation of its staff.
Through the voluntary blood donation action, the resort aims to send a message of love to those in need, the resort’s management said in an announcement.
Held in cooperation with the General Hospital of Kos, the blood donation drive gathered 35 blood units that will be used to cover the hospital’s ongoing needs.
“Voluntary blood donation is one of the most significant actions of social volunteerism and a practical expression of social solidarity,” the resort’s management said.
“Apart from contributing to the increase of the hospital’s blood reserves and the support of local community, the initiative also aims to increase awareness and promote the significance of blood donation and volunteering.”
Neptune Hotels Resort, Convention Centre & Spa also hosts corporate social responsibility events to support local foundations and bodies and promote the cultural heritage of Kos.
In addition, the resort aims to raise awareness among its guests and staff by inviting them to participate in activities for the protection and promotion of the natural environment.
