The Grecotel Group last week welcomed the first summer visitors at its new Grecotel Costa Botanica, its fourth property to open on the island of Corfu.

Located in Acharavi, 25km away from Corfu International Airport, the new luxury hotel covers an area of  3.5 hectares with a 1,000 meters long sandy beach along its coastal front.

The hotel complex boasts a total capacity of 401 rooms in its Country House and Summer Houses, and operates with an all-inclusive accommodation program. The Grecotel Costa Botanica includes nine restaurants and bars, the Piazza Popolare Square, six swimming pools, a theater, a 40,000sq.m. waterpark, the Donkey Farm, the Botanists Lab, a Mini Club for children, sports facilities, as well as a 533sq.m. spa center.

Within a walking distance from the complex is the lagoon of Antiniotis, one of the most impressive landscapes on Corfu, with a diverse ecosystem that hosts more than 90 species of migratory birds, rare turtles, the unique Corfiot otters, sand dunes with lilies, wild orchids, olive groves and impressive vegetation.

“Grecotel continues to grow steadily, enhancing Greek tourism by creating new hotels, combined with providing high-quality services to Greek and foreign visitors,” Grecotel Group CEO Mari Daskalantonakis said.

With the addition of Grecotel Costa Botanica, the group has created an international holiday destination on Corfu, with the renovated Corfu Imperial, the upgraded five-star LUX ME Daphnila Bay Dassia and the luxurious Eva Palace. In addition, the Group owns the Danilia Village cultural park, which has been selected for the shooting of major international film productions.

“Greek tourism requires premium quality investments that will add value to the country’s reputation, support local economies and create new jobs,” Daskalantonakis added.

The Nikos Daskalantonakis – Grecotel Group includes a portfolio of 40, four- and five-star hotels in popular island and mainland destinations in Greece.
