Divani Creating Rooftop Bar at ‘Caravel’, Extending Lounge at ‘Apollon Palace’

The Divani Collection Hotels has unveiled upcoming projects planned for two of its branded properties in key locations in the Greek capital.

In the coming months, the hotel chain will complete two projects at the Divani Caravel in Athens and the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso on the Athenian Riviera.

More specifically, the Divani Caravel will be getting a new rooftop bar/restaurant named Juju summer, which will offer panoramic views of the city and boast the same themed menu of the Juju restaurant located on the hotel’s ground floor.

Also planned is the extension of the Atlantis lounge at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso. The lounge will extend to a specially-designed outside space by the sea and have live music for guests.

With a history of over 60 years, the Divani Collection Hotels consists of 7 luxury hotels of high facilities and amenities in Greece, found in Athens, Meteora, Larissa and Corfu and aims to constantly upgrade and improve the experience offered to its guests.

“Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic in tourism, the Divani group remained resilient, operating its hotels throughout the health crisis. At the same time, it continued its strategic planning and completed renovations and new services,” the group’s management said in an announcement.

The projects announced for the Divani Caravel and the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso follow extensive renovations that were undertaken at the same hotels as well as at other properties of the group:

– the entire 7th floor of the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso was renovated, providing 40 completely renovated rooms and suites
– the suites on the 8th floor of the Divani Caravel were renovated and three new – full smart tech – suites were created: the Divine Acropolis View Suites
– all the elevators of the Divani Caravel were renovated
– a total of 52 executive rooms at the Divani Palace Acropolis were revamped with a new contemporary look
– two new spacious family suites, ideally designed to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children, were created at the Divani Palace Acropolis
– a new outdoor space was created at the main restaurant “Ambrosia” of the Divani Corfu Palace on the island of Corfu.

The portfolio of the Divani Collection Hotels also includes the Divani Apollon Suites on the Athenian Riviera, the Divani Meteora Hotel in Meteora and the (Divani Palace Larissa in Larissa.

Earlier this year all the hotels of the Divani Collection joined the award-winning DISCOVERY loyalty program of the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) that offers more rewards and experiences to travelers. The GHA is the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands.
