Greece Showcases MICE Tourism Capabilities at IMEX Frankfurt 2022

The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) presented Greece’s MICE tourism capabilities during the recent IMEX Frankfurt 2022, an international event for the business events community.

IMEX took place in Frankfurt during May 31 – June 2 after two years of absence due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The event hosted a total of 2,300 exhibitors, as well as 9,000 visitors and buyers from all over the world.

The GNTO participated in the event with a 200-square-meter stand that hosted a total of 21 MICE representatives from the convention and visitor bureaus of Athens and Thessaloniki, conference venues and hotels.

According to an announcement by the GNTO, the Greek stand attracted a large number of business executives from all over the world that were interested in Greece as a conference tourism destination. Interntional professionals received information on the MICE tourism market in Greece and held in-person meetings with GNTO executives and co-exhibitors.

IMEX Frankfurt 2022 included educational seminars dedicated to sustainable development.

Furthermore, the IMEX Policy Forum featured a number of discussions on the recovery of tourism between MICE tourism executives and 35 representatives from the field of politics from 19 countries.

ΙΜΕΧ 2022 closed its doors with a Gala Dinner & Awards event.

Next year’s IMEX Frankfurt event will take place during May 23-25.
