Proton Aircraft and Passenger Handling Opens New Station at Athens Airport

Aiming to cover the demand of its partners and clients, Proton Aircraft and Passenger Handling recently announced its expansion at Athens International Airport (AIA).

Based in Thessaloniki, Proton is a company active in the aviation field for more than 25 years, specializing in handling all ad hoc, private, schedule, and charter commercial and cargo flights.

“As our organization is growing, a new station in Athens International Airport has been added to our service points,” the company’s CEO, Kostas Krystalis, said.

The new station at AIA comes in addition to Proton’s existing stations at the airports of Thessaloniki, Mykonos, Santorini and Heraklion (Crete).

“In our new station we will provide a broad spectrum of high-quality airport services,” Krystalis added.

Proton’s ground handling services include flight support; provision of pre-flight documentation; PPR and slots, operation authorization; overflying and landing permits; and coordination, representation, and liaison with airport authorities.

The company also offers “Meet & Greet” services at arrival and departure.
