AluaSoul Zakynthos Opens After €5.4 Million Revamp

The AluaSoul Zakynthos, formerly known as the Plagos Beach on the Greek island of Zakynthos, recently opened its doors as a 4-star all-inclusive adults-only hotel following an extensive renovation.
The hotel’s opening was announced on Thursday by Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), the largest owner of resort hotels in Southern Europe owned by funds managed by Blackstone, and the hotel management company of Apple Leisure Group (ALG), a part of Hyatt.
HIP and Blackstone have invested nearly 5.4 million euros to upgrade and transform the hotel. The renovation includes the refurbishment of public areas and guestrooms with upgraded aesthetics to create comfortable and welcoming spaces, as well as unforgettable experiences full of pleasure, fun and relaxation in a privileged location.
Mananged under the AMR Collection’s Alua Hotels & Resorts brand, AluaSoul Zakynthos is a beachfront resort and one of the most prestigious hotels on Zakynthos.
All of the hotel’s 161 rooms have been refurbished and 48 are reserved for “My Favorite Club” guests, offering a higher level of relaxation and comfort for an exclusive luxury experience with a superior quality of services. In addition, “My Favorite Club” guests also have access to private areas, an exclusive pool area, private check-in and check-out, exclusive lounge, reserved spaces in the restaurants, larger and better located rooms and superior bathroom amenities.
AluaSoul Zakynthos offers a variety of three restaurants. Terra Café, the main restaurant, serves local and international specialties. Additionally, there are themed nights for “food lovers”. Kentia Pool Club is the perfect place to enjoy lunch overlooking the pool and the sea. Mare Nubim, an a la carte restaurant, serves selected delicious dishes from fresh local products, offering a unique dining experience.
The hotel’s refurbishment followed a sustainable design and construction process. The refurbishment plan was supported by Alpha Bank which provided the financing for the execution of the capital expenditure.
We spent our holiday here in May, 11 nights all inclusive and it was amazing. We really didn’t feel the need to venture out of the complex because it had absolutely everything we needed. We were made to feel special as soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the hotel manager with a glass of bubbly and he introduced us to all the members of staff on duty. We felt immediately at home. The bar, restaurant, cleaning staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptionally easy and comfortable. This place is what holidays are all about. 10/10.
