Metaxa Group Cares for its Employees, Maintains Health and Safety Measures at Work
The Metaxa Hospitality Group shows that it cares for its employees by maintaining all the necessary health and safety measures in its hotels on Santorini and Crete.
On occasion of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, celebrated annually on April 28, Metaxa Hospitality Group CEO Andreas Metaxas said that maintaining a safe and healthy working environment remained a top priority for the group.
“Each day of operation is a day dedicated to the health and safety of our employees. Our people are precious and we continue to take care of them as every Greek family would do. We are proud for the prime health and safety practices we have developed and characterize our working environment,” he added.
The group’s ongoing prevention strategy is focusing on keeping its facilities safe; adhering to strict safety standards; conducting regular inspections and actively engaging employees through constant training.
Aiming to protect the health of its visitors and employees from Covid-19, the group is also implementing the “Committed to Caring” program which has incorporated the health protocols and the instructions of international and national health organizations.
Furthermore, the group’s hotels every year receive the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) certification.
Lastly, every year Metaxa holds evacuation drills in order to test its workplace emergency procedures and ensure that staff respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.
Based on the Greek island of Crete, the Metaxa Hospitality Group operates three high-end resorts: the Creta Maris Beach Resort (681 rooms) and the TUI Magic Life (TML) Candia Maris on Crete; and the Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa (57 rooms) on Santorini.
