The Alkyon Hotel Skiathos has completed the first phase of its 2.7-million-euro renovation project and is ready to welcome its first guests to the island of Skiathos on May 1.
Located in the heart of Skiathos town, Alkyon has been upgraded into a four-star property featuring 94 rooms.
Guests will be able to enjoy the hotel’s fully renovated spacious front rooms, offering unique views as well as all the necessary comforts and services to ensure a pleasant stay.
Carried out by HHH Architects, Alkyon’s renovation project also included the creation of a new impressive lounge with private spaces and comfortable corners for relaxation; a business office; a main bar, a pool bar, and a rooftop bar offering signature cocktails and panoramic views of the port; a main restaurant with separate balcony; and a spacious roof garden for breakfast.
The project is based on the vision of hotel’s new owner, Noties Sporades SA, to maintain the building’s unique architecture and special 1970’s features.
The company announced earlier this week, that its investment project for Alkyon had been included in Greece’s development law 4399/16.
“The investment, reaching a total of 2,706,193.59 euros, has been positively evaluated by the Directorate of Development Planning of the Thessaly Region with a score 10/10,” the company said.
The hotel’s renovation is proceeding according to schedule, with the second phase expected to take place during the winter period 2022-2023.
Noties Sporades SA is owned by the Derveni group, which also operates the emblematic Skiathos Palace hotel and other tourism enterprises on the island.
