Grande Albergo Delle Rose: The Hotel of the Roses on Rhodes Opens in Time for Easter

The emblematic Grande Albergo Delle Rose hotel on the Greek island of Rhodes will open its doors to guests just in time for the Easter holiday.

Grande Albergo Delle Rose, which stands for ‘The Hotel of the Roses’ in Italian, is a historical hotel of unique architecture and design.

Built during 1925-1927 by Mario Lago, the Italian Governor of Rhodes, the hotel is a point of reference for the Rhodian Society and a unique jewel of Arabic and Venetian architecture.

Grande Albergo Delle Rose is ideally located in the most beautiful part of the island, on the beach, but also within walking distance to the Venetian Castle and the Medieval Old Town of Rhodes.

The Old Town of Rhodes is a medieval city constructed within a castle with six gateways.

Surrounded by a beautiful garden full of roses and hibiscus, it was the starting point for the tourist development of the island. During the decades of its operation, its incomparable hospitality and innovative amenities were enjoyed by legendary personalities such as Winston Churchill, Aristotle Onassis, Eleftherios Venizelos, Konstantinos Karamanlis and many others.

In 2002 Grande Albergo Delle Rose underwent a full renovation, regained its past glamor and welcomed its distinguished audience again. It was transformed into a 5-star boutique hotel with 33 luxurious suites, overlooking the sea or the garden and each decorated in its own unique Venetian style.

The hotel’s amenities include a butler service, three restaurants, a swimming pool, a conference room and a unique Hammam & Spa.
