Poseidonion Grand Hotel Ready for ‘Weekend in Tweed’ Event
Dozens of cyclists will gather on the island of Spetses in the Saronic gulf during April 15-17 to participate in the “Weekend in Tweed”, a vintage cycling event organized annually by the Poseidonion Grand Hotel.
“Spetses’ landmark hotel will welcome the tourism season with shiny bikes, stylish appearances, happy mood and a retro atmosphere,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement.
Meanwhile, the hotel’s guests will have the opportunity to spend a weekend full of vintage adventure, nostalgic atmosphere and tweed fashion.
The three-day program will include a relaxed bike ride with beautiful classic bicycles, a picnic in nature, a cozy afternoon tea at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel, as well as elegant outfits with tweed.
The event will also feature delicious culinary proposals, a beauty pageant to award the best tweed costume and a party.
The “Weekend in Tweed” event will take place with the support of the Greek Bicycle Museum.
The Poseidonion Grand Hotel first welcomed its guests on Spetses in the summer of 1914 and today continues to be a symbol of hospitality, remaining faithful to its cosmopolitan past and unique architecture.
