Costa Navarino Kicks Off 2022 Season

The 2022 season is officially underway at Costa Navarino – the prime sustainable destination in the Mediterranean – as The Westin Resort Costa Navarino is now open.

Costa Navarino is located in Messinia, the Peloponnese.

Part of Navarino Dunes, the destination’s first resort area, The Westin Resort Costa Navarino has been welcoming guests for this season as of February 20. The second 5-star resort of Navarino Dunes, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, is set to open – earlier than ever before – on March 24.

“Travellers looking for an early sun getaway, are able to enjoy the mild weather conditions during spring and discover endless sports, wellness and leisure activities,” Costa Navarino’s management said in an announcement.

This summer will also unveil the destination’s new resort area, the 13-hectare beachfront location Navarino Waterfront, with the debut of W Costa Navarino – the brand’s first property in Greece.

Opening in summer 2022, the first W Escape in Greece will feature 246 stylish rooms, suites, and villas as well as five dining venues including a destination beach club overlooking the Bay of Navarino – aiming to introduce a fresh selection of all-day and night entertainment.

New direct flights to Kalamata, the capital of Messinia

Direct flights to Kalamata International Airport launched on February 20, with the first flights from Zurich and Munich, operated by Edelweiss and Aegean Airlines respectively. New routes for this year include Paris CDG, Brussels and Helsinki operated by Aegean Airlines. Lufthansa will launch flights to the Messinian capital from Munich, as of May 21. More new routes include London Stansted with JET 2 and Pisa with Ryanair.
