Greek Shipowners Association for Passenger Ships Appoints Spiros Paschalis as New President
The Greek Shipowners Association for Passenger Ships (SEEN) has appointed Spiros Paschalis, CEO Attica Group, as its new president for a three-year term.
SEEN made the announcement on Wednesday, after the association’s general assembly and the election of a new board of directors.
Paschalis succeeds outgoing President Michail Sakellis who has been announced SEEN’s Honorary President.
Paschalis thanked the association’s members for their trust and pledged to work towards building a sustainable and environmentally mature shipping sector.
“In the coming years, we will need to manage for the Greek shipping sector significant and urgent challenges whose timely and effective response requires commitment,” he said.
Futhermore, Paschalis said he would work with Greece’s regulatory authorities for the renewal of the coastal shipping fleet; the adoption of new international and European environmental regulations; the modernization of the regulatory framework and the upgrade of the traveling experience at Greece’s ports.

Vice President (Cruise Ships): Antonios Gelasakis
Secretary General: Theologos Panagiotakis
