Attica Group Expands to Hospitality Sector, Acquires Hotel on Naxos

Attica Group has expanded its activities to the hospitality sector with the acquisition of a hotel on the Greek island of Naxos.

A leading coastal shipping company in Greece, Attica Group is the parent company of Superfast FerriesBlue Star FerriesHellenic Seaways and Africa Morocco Link.

Through its subsidiary Attica Blue Hospitality, the group recently acquired the company owning the Naxos Resort Beach Hotel, a hospitality property located on the beach of Agios Georgios on Naxos. The acquisition reached 6.5 million euros and was funded through bank financing.

The hotel complex covers a total area of 8,166.92sqm with the potential of additional construction of 1,300sqm. It has a capacity of 88 rooms and its facilities include a swimming pool, restaurants, a bar, conference venues, a gym, a spa and parking space.

“The acquisition of Naxos Resort Beach Hotel marks the beginning of Attica Group’s investment in the hospitality industry, allowing the group to serve a wider range of its customers’ needs and strengthen its financial position by producing direct synergies,” Attica Group said in an announcement.

Attica Blue Hospitality is expected to upgrade and expand the facilities of the Naxos Resort Beach Hotel.
