Travvy Awards 2021: Greece Wins Big at the ‘Tourism Oscars’ in Miami

The director of the Greek National Tourism Organizaton service in the US and Canada, Konstantinos Harokopos, received the awards.

Greece received four distinctions at the Travvy Awards 2021, one of the leading events of the US tourism market.

Also known as the “Oscars” of the US tourism industry, the annual Travvy Awards recognize and award the best destinations, tour operators and tourism/travel companies, based on the vote of senior tourism industry executives. More than 90,000 tourism professionals took part in the voting process this year, expressing their preferences in 140 categories.

Greece won three gold awards and was announced:

• Best Destination in the Mediterranean

• Best International Cruise Destination and

• Best International Luxury Destination.

Furthermore, Greece was named second best (silver) International Expendition/Adventure Destination for 2021.

The awards ceremony took place in Miami last week in the presence of US tourism industry executives, representatives of national tourism organizations and journalists.

Greece was represented by the director of the Greek National Tourism Organizaton service in the US and Canada, Konstantinos Harokopos.

Winners of the prestigious Travvy Award will be showcased in Agent@Home Magazine and profiled on TravelPulse.com. They will also be honored at a lavish awards gala.
