The news about the frequency increase was announced by Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, during a company roadshow in Halkidiki, northern Greece.
“Jet2’s decision to increase frequency to Makedonia International Airport is a ‘vote of confidence’ to Halkidiki’s tourism professionals and hotel staff,” the Halkidiki Tourism Organization said in an announcement.
Speaking during the event, the organization’s president, Grigoris Tasios, applauded Jet2’s decision, noting that Halkidiki sees the company as its “main and most trusted” tour operator from the UK.
