Acropolis Rally to Pass Through Athens Center on September 9

Athens’ central Syntagma square on September 9 will welcome the cars participating in the EKO Acropolis Rally 2021, offering the opportunity to residents and visitors to live the experience of the legendary race.

The 0.98km route will cross Vasilissis Amalias Avenue to pass in front of the Hellenic Parliament, before turning left to reach Syntagma Square to conclude on Vasileos Georgiou Avenue.

The specially designed route is sponsored by Cosmote.

Under the title “Cosmote 5G Athens Stage”, the event will be shown live on ERT TV and Cosmote TV.

Special events

Starting on September 8, Syntagma Square will host the race’s sponsors specially designed venues for the audience to browse through. A number of events, including an exhibition of racing and classic cars with free admission, will also be held.

All activities will take place in accordance with the safety measures applied for Covid-19.

Special traffic measures will be in effect at the streets near Syntagma Square during the two-day event.

The Acropolis Rally will take place in Greece for the first time after eight years.

Also known as the Rally of Gods, the Acropolis Rally will pass through three Greek regions and wrap up on September 12.

The rally will start from the Acropolis in Athens and for the first time pass through Syntagma Square. It will then continue on to the Peloponnese to pass through Corinth and Agioi Theodoroi and then proceed to its base in Lamia in Central Greece.
