Accor’s Mercure Brand Opens its First Property in Greece

The Mercure brand of Accor has announced its entry into Greece with the opening of Mercure Rhodes Alexia on the island of Rhodes.

Located in the heart of Rhodes, Mercure Rhodes Alexia has 136 rooms, most offering sea views. The hotel offers a wide array of facilities, including wellness services and treatments in the hotel’s state-of-the-art spa.

A rich gastronomic profile will be exhibited in Mercure Rhodes Alexia’s two restaurants, both offering an extensive range of contemporary flavours infused with traditional techniques.

“It’s a great honor to be joining forces with the Accor Group under the Mercure brand… Our entire corporate family of Nikolaos Soulounias SA is excited to embark on this new journey, ready to show the world the true meaning of authentic island hospitality,” said Maria – Anna Soulounias, Owner and CEO of Mercure Rhodes Alexia.

The new hotel becomes Accor’s most recent addition to the tourism landscape of the south-eastern European peninsula.

“Accor is delighted to welcome Mercure Rhodes Alexia as the newest destination in our ever-expanding portfolio. With its stunning environment and long history of refined hospitality, Greece is a clear and strategic location for Group expansion. We look forward to what is set to be a positive and dynamic venture,” said Jerome Lassara, Development Director Accor, Southern Europe.

The hotel is located in the epicentere of Rhodian life, with Niochori Beach lying only 50 meters away, and cultural sites like the Castle in the Old Town, Mandraki Port and the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights less than 2 kilometres away.
