New Hotel ‘IVIS 4’ to Open in the Center of Athens

Greek hospitality management and consulting company Modus & Amplio has announced the opening of its new partner hotel, IVIS 4 Boutique Hotel, in Athens on July 15.

Located in the heart of the Greek capital, in the Psyrri district, a neighborhood with a long tradition in handicrafts and art workshops, Ivis 4 is in very close distance to the metro stations of Thiseio and Monastiraki, the Acropolis and the Kerameikos, the Ancient Agora, the New Acropolis Museum and the most important sights of the city.

The new hotel is housed in a former craftsman’s building, which has been successfully transformed into a modern hospitality space by Greek architect Fotis Kalliontzis from the architectural office aWish.

Linking modern décor with traditional style

Kalliontzis successfully linked his contemporary design with the property’s history and managed to highlight the identity of the building that for decades housed glass, iron and hagiography workshops.

The initially strict, rectangular façade of the building now has ‘Doric’ plasticity while balconies with glass surfaces have been added.

Inside the hotel, an oversized graffiti runs through the ground floor of the reception and restaurant, creating a visual continuation of the ‘secret’ garden that exists in the backyard.

Guests can choose from 14 spacious, luxurious, and functional rooms and suites, impeccably designed, overlooking the Acropolis, the city or the garden.

Visitors can also enjoy a wonderful gastronomic experience at Ivis 4 Restaurant with a menu curated by award-winning chef Yiannis Lucacos. The restaurant, located in the hotel garden, will initially operate with a ‘brunch & snack’ all-day menu and with a full menu in September.

In addition, in the rooms and common areas visitors can admire unique wall art murals made by the famous street artist SimpleG, made exclusively for Ivis 4.

The hotel also operates a fully equipped state of the art gym.
