Skiathos Palace Hotel Once Again Offers Certified Safety to Guests
The Skiathos Palace Hotel, located on the popular island of Skiathos and owned by the Derveni family, for the second year has received the CoVid-Shield certification seal following an on-site inspection by TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas auditors.
The TÜV AUSTRIA CoVid-Shield certification scheme serves as confirmation that an establishment is applying all measures necessary to prevent the transmission and spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
A renowned certification and monitoring group specialized in quality and safety, TÜV AUSTRIA launched the CoVid-Shield certification scheme last year for businesses restarting their activity in Covid-19 times.
Inspectors of TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas also carried out a preliminary on-site inspection at the premises of the Derveni family’s other hotel ALKYON and noted the establishment’s full implementation of the updated health protocol rules.
Health First seal
The Skiathos Palace Hotel also recently received a congratulatory letter from the Regional Tourism Service of Thessaly for its full observance of the national health protocols (Health First seal).
Inspectors of the service found that the hotel is applying all mandatory health measures as well as the great majority of those that are optional. The letter stated that the Skiathos Palace Hotel and its staff “strengthen the tourist identity of Skiathos, with very positive credentials”.
Set in a pine forest at the north-west corner of the island, the Skiathos Palace Hotel has 249 rooms and 9 suites. It is situated only 10 kilometers from Skiathos town and overlooks the beach of Koukounaries — one of the most widely known in Europe.
