The Greek Maritime Golf Event, scheduled to take place during September 3-5 at Costa Navarino in Messinia, this year will bring together golf and the shipping industry for a good cause to support the efforts of the Karkinaki pediatric cancer research organization.

In its seventh year, the Greek Maritime Golf Event is a golf tournament for the Greek and world shipping industry. Known also for its dedication to social issues, the event this year is aiming to support the non-profit organization Karkinaki in its efforts to raise awareness for childhood and adolescent cancer

During this year’s award ceremony for the event’s winners on September 4, participants will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the efforts of Karkinaki by donating a desired amount in a specially designed area. The aim of the initiative is to support the organization’s efforts to stop childhood and adolescent cancer and offer children equal access to high-quality hospitalization and effective treatment.

The shipping community is expected to “embrace” and actively support the event’s charity cause for one more year. For more information about Karkinaki visit www.karkinaki.gr.

Euroleague legend Joe Arlauckas will be one of the awards’ ceremony presenters (Greek Maritime Golf Event by Charis Akriviadis)

Scheduled to be presented by Euroleague legend Joe Arlauckas and international model Ioanna Papadimitriou, the glamorous ceremony will be full of surprises and gifts for its participants.

Registration for Greek Maritime Golf Event continues

Meanwhile, registration for this year’s tournament continues, with participants already forming their teams. Amateur golf enthusiasts – all of them shipping executives – will have the opportunity to compete in the two signature 18-hole courses of Costa Navarino, The Dunes Course and The Bay Course, in an idyllic landscape with a unique view of the Ionian Sea and the historic Bay of Navarino.

Non-golfers will also have the opportunity to discover the secrets of the Olympic sport. They will learn the rules and the basic hits by attending the golf lessons that will be carried out during the event.

It should be noted that the tournament will be held in a completely safe destination, under the health protocols and the necessary approvals of the Health Scientific Committee of the General Secretariat of Sports, taking into account the strict specifications set by the Hellenic Golf Federation.
