Minister Theoharis Goes to France to Promote Greece’s Tourism Opening
Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis is on an official visit to Paris, France, continuing his tour to countries whose citizens have a high interest for travel to Greece.
While in Paris, the minister will have meetings with his French counterpart and representatives of the country’s airlines and leading tour operators.
Theoharis’ visit to France is part of an awareness-raising effort to promote the restart of Greek tourism and its safe opening for the summer of 2021.
“The French market is particularly keen to resume tourist flows towards Greece and is in first place in terms of bookings,” Theoharis recently said during the Delphi Economic Forum.
The tourism minister’s schedule in Paris includes a meeting with the minister of European and Foreign Affairs of the French Government, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne.
Talks will follow with the general manager of the Héliades Tourist Organization, Jean Brajon and with representatives of tour operators NG and Karavel-Fram.
Theoharis on Friday will have a working lunch with senior executives of Air France and then a meeting with the product manager of the Thalasso No1- Ôvoyage tour operator, Sami Guenaoui.
The Greek tourism minister is also expected to give interviews to a number of French media outlets.
His trip to France follows his visit to Spain to attend the International Tourism Trade Fair FITUR in Madrid.
