Alitalia to Fly Daily Between Athens and Rome from May 31

Italian carrier Alitalia has announced that it will offer daily flights between Athens and Rome starting on May 31.

The daily service will depart Athens at 12.30pm and reach Rome’s Fiumicino Airport at 1.35pm. The return flight will leave Rome at 8.55am and arrive in Athens at 11.50am.

The flights will be conducted with an Airbus 319 or an Embraer E90.

The announcement was made on Tuesday during Alitalia’s latest webinar for travel professionals.

Until the end of May, Alitalia will be conducting the Athens-Rome itinerary on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Meanwhile, for the summer of 2021 (from July – September), Alitalia will offer services from Rome’s Fiumicino airport to nine popular Greek destinations, namely RhodesHeraklion (Crete), CorfuKefaloniaZakynthosMykonos, SantoriniSkiathos, Lefkada as well as from Milan Linate airport to Rhodes and vice versa.

The Italian carrier aims to contribute to the restart of tourism worldwide with its wide network of destinations. For May and June Alitalia will offer 12,000 flights and 1.7 million seats to a total of 54 destinations.

In Europe, Alitalia’s summer schedule (from July – September) also includes destinations in Spain and Croatia.
