Electra Hotels’ George Spyropoulos Honored as General Manager of the Year
Electra Hotels & Resorts Chief Operating Officer (COO) George Spyropoulos has been honored as “General Manager of the Year” at the 2021 Greek Hotel of the Year Awards.
“George has a long experience in operational and sales positions and an exceptional academic background. He is leading the group’s administrative departments and hotels, with the aim to further enhance and develop their operation,” Electra Hotels said in an announcement.
During the last year, through a number of multi-level activities, George has been coordinating the group’s community involvement programs.
Established in 1965, Electra Hotels & Resorts opened its first hotel, the Electra Hotel Athens, on Ermou Street.
In 1972, the group opened the doors of the Electra Palace Thessaloniki on Aristotelous Square and one year later the opening of the Electra Palace Athens in Plaka followed.
In 1975 the group opened the Electra Palace Rhodes and then the Electra Metropolis Athens in September 2016, located very close to Syntagma Square.
