Mitsis Hotels Group Restarts Safe Operation from April 1

Mitsis Grand Hotel, Rhodes

Greek hospitality group Mitsis Hotels is ready to welcome its first guests to the Mitsis Grand Hotel, the group’s five-star ultra all-inclusive beach hotel on the island of Rhodes, from April 1.

Putting the health and safety of its visitors first, the group has drawn up a detailed action plan and operational protocols, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

According to an announcement, the group plans to gradually reopen its hotel units, based on developments on an international and local level.

Mitsis Group supports major sport events

The Group also announced its plans to support major international sport events scheduled to take place on Rhodes this year, as a Grand Hospitality Sponsor.

The group will support the “Rhodes Grand Prix” cycling race and the International Tour of Rhodes, that will take place during April 2-12, with the participation of 25 national cycling teams and 280 athletes who will stay at the Mitsis Grand Hotel.

Furthermore, the group will support the “Roads to Rhodes” virtual marathon, to be held from April 9 to May 9, with the participation of runners from all over the world.

It should be mentioned that the Mitsis Grand Hotel on Rhodes will also host the 187 guests that will stay on the island for eight days as part of the “Safe Corridor” pilot program by Sunweb Group in cooperation with Transavia and with the approval of the Dutch and Greek governments.

“We actively support the restart of Greek tourism by hosting international events, as we aspire to capture our full potential, and capitalize on the excellent image that our country has shown regarding the management of this pandemic,” Mitsis Hotels Managing Director Stavros Mitsis said.

With a history of over 40 years in Greek hospitality, the Mitsis Hotels Group offers a portfolio of 17 hotels in Athens and Kamena Vourla as well as on the islands of Crete, Kos and Rhodes.
