Greek Hoteliers Discuss Summer Hospitality Operations
The seamless operation of hotels in the upcoming summer period, the possibility of providing Covid-19 rapid tests on the premises, and financial support for the sector topped the agenda of a digital meeting between hotelier association presidents from across the country this week.
Organized by the Hellenic Hoteliers Federation (POX), the event included the participation of Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis, who sent out a message of optimism for the summer adding that it will be better than last year.
The heads of Greece’s hotelier associations briefed the minister on issues and problems created by the coronavirus pandemic and expressed concerns about the return to operations.
All parties agreed that the Greek summer tourism season hinges on the smooth and comprehensive vaccination rollout in Greece and abroad and on the epidemiological situation in source markets.
The hoteliers also reiterated their call for rapid testing to be provided on the spot to simplify procedures for visitors.
In the meantime, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) presented its month-long #filoxeniaMoU initiative dedicated to the importance of hospitality in restoring the tourism industry post-Covid-19.
POX and the HCH have joined forces to raise awareness about the need to invest in Greek hospitality, accelerate sustainable economic and social development, and include tourism in the national recovery strategy.
Hej
Vil det sige at turister til Grækenland ikke kan besøge de skønne øer uden et vaccinationspas?
Eller har jeg misforstået det?
Spørger da jeg har en rejse til Zakynthos og jeg er endnu ikke vaccineret.
