Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, one of the world’s leading hospitality business schools, has appointed Dimitrios Diamantis as its Executive Academic Dean.

Until now responsible for post-graduate and MBA degree programs, Dimitrios will oversee all of the institution’s academic courses, including Bachelor programs.

He will also oversee the teaching staff and focus on the academic development of the prestigious school, ranked among the three best hotel management educational establishments in the world.

“The institution entrusts its academic center to a specialist in the circular economy and sustainable development in tourism and hotels. In his field of expertise, with the benefit of more than 20 years of experience in research and teaching, Dimitrios Diamantis is an international authority,” an announcement said.

Dimitrios is the author of numerous articles in the field of eco-tourism – the subject of a doctoral thesis – as well as on brand management.

He joined the faculty of Les Roches in 2010, having previously worked there during the previous decade.

Dimitrios has held the post of Associate Professor at the University of Bournemouth, as well as at Sheffield Hallam University. He has also taught as a visiting professor at KDU University College (Malaysia), the Paul Bocuse Institute (France) and the Haute Ecole des Grisons (Switzerland) while serving as an external expert for several universities in the United Kingdom.

Since 2014, he has been a member of the jury of the Greek Tourism Awards.

“Dimitros Diamantis’ long experience within our school and his numerous contacts forged with the industries of the sector are essential. When our institution took the turn of placing innovation and digitization at the heart of all programs, its involvement in this development proved to be decisive. Dimitrios is a unique personality, hailed by the students for his great human qualities and his availability,” said Christine Demen Meier, Managing Director of Les Roches.

Founded in 1954, Les Roches offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management following the Swiss model of education. With three campuses across Switzerland, Spain, and China; a student body of more than 100 different nationalities, the institution provides students with a unique culturally diverse experience.
