Covid-19: Over 9,600 Small Attica Businesses to Receive Support

The Region of Attica will allocate over 250 million euros in funds to support over 9,600 small and very small enterprises impacted by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Co-funded by the Attica Regional Operational Program (PEP Attikis) 2014-2020, the program foresees that subsidies for each eligible enterprise will range from 5,000 – 40,000 euros depending on their size.

A total of 42,254 enterprises have applied to participate in the scheme. The review and rating of applications will be completed by the end of February, while eligible companies will receive funding by the end of May.

Any objection letters must be submitted by the end of March.

“We support small and very small enterprises in Attica, as well as self-employed individuals that have been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic,” Attica Governor George Patoulis said.

The governor underlined that this is one of the many actions taken to support the economy, the society and health during the difficult circumstance of the pandemic

“No one is alone amid this crisis. Together we will overcome the difficulties created by the deadly virus and make a new start once the crisis subsides,” he added.
