A Message from our CEO and Publisher

The CEO of Greek Travel Pages, Maria Theofanopoulou, shares what we’re doing at GTP to keep our partners and readers supported during these challenging times.

Dear readers and partners,

I hope my message finds you all well in these extremely challenging times.

Together we are experiencing the unexpected challenges brought to us by the global COVID-19 pandemic. It has affected our families, our businesses, our communities and our way of life.

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the pandemic, either directly or indirectly. But mainly to all those whose health was affected and to whom we send our wishes for a speedy recovery.

In these circumstances, I wanted to thank you for the trust you have shown us all these years, and also to inform you on what the Greek Travel Pages (GTP) has been doing during the months of the pandemic and what our plans for the “day after” include.

From the start of the pandemic, we focused on the health and safety of our employees, their families and our communities. All of our employees were encouraged to work from home, a change that was surprisingly smooth and met with high levels of efficiency and safety.

Although we have all experienced uncharted situations, at Greek Travel Pages we have followed the core values of our corporate mentality that has guided us for the last 46 years: trust, respect, quality, information, development, support, extroversion and innovation.

During the pandemic we focused on providing updated and valid information on the developments of the Greek and international tourism market through our news site GTP Headlines. We continue to provide information on market developments, news of our partners, new laws, trends, opinions, and tourism figures. The impact of our articles can be seen from our numbers, which have doubled in the last year. It can also be seen from the numbers on our social media channels, where we have a high double-digit rise, as well as in the increase of our subscribers to our daily newsletter.

We found time to redesign procedures and reconsider approaches. The printed version of GTP, referred to as the tourism market’s “bible” for the last 46 years, is being reformed. Our online platforms with travel offers and career opportunities, although they had reduced content due to the pandemic, are slowly starting to see an upward trend. As we move forward we will inform you of our new procedures and services.

There is no doubt. The pandemic has created and continues to create a number of new challenges.

With this message I would like to inform that we are here, united, to offer what we know best.

– To our readers: access to quality content and updated news on the Greek travel and tourism industry.
– To our partners: innovative and sustainable promotion solutions and assistance with the extroversion you need to promote your brand both to the Greek and to the international markets.

Once again I thank you all for your continued trust. Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

On behalf of the whole family of Greek Travel Pages, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year!

Warm regards,

Maria Theofanopoulou, CEO
