Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis and Deputy Tourism Minister Manos Konsolas have gone into precautionary quarantine after attending a meeting last week with a ministry associate who later tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19).

According to a ministry announcement, all attending last week’s meeting were wearing masks.

Both Theoharis and Konsolas have already tested negative but they will repeat a Covid-19 test at the end of the week.

All ministry employees will undergo Covid-19 testing by a team from Greece’s National Public Health Organization (EODY).

The ministry’s announcement also noted that all necessary measures have been taken in accordance with health protocols and the building of the Tourism Ministry has been disinfected.
