How Greece’s Public Services will Function During Second Lockdown
The Greek Ministry of Interior has released information on how Greece’s public services will function as of Monday, November 9, during the country’s second national lockdown to halt the rise in coronavirus (Covid-19) cases.
The measures, announced by Interior Minister Takis Theodorikakos on Friday, will be in force for all offices of the public sector and local administration.
– Citizens can access public services either electronically or in physical presence if required only by previously making an appointment.
– At least 50 percent of public sector employees will work remotely (teleworking).
– Public service departments that require physical presence of employees, will have three shifts operating (7am – 3pm, 8am – 4pm, 9am – 5pm) to avoid overcrowding. All employees must maintain the distances of 1.5 meters between one another.
It is reminded that the wearing of a mask in all areas in public service offices is mandatory by employees and visitors.
