Jet2 Suspends Flights and Holidays to Greece Until 2021
UK leisure travel group Jet2 has suspended all flights and holidays to Crete and Rhodes in Greece until next year, following the British government’s decision to enter a full lockdown as of Thursday.
Following a spike in coronavirus cases, the UK on November 5 will enter a lockdown with new regulations, including a ban on all non-essential travel, until December 2.
Jet2, which runs leisure flights through Jet2.com and package holidays through its tour operator Jet2holidays, has also suspended all services to Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus.
Customers affected by any program changes, will have their bookings automatically canceled with full refund, according to a company announcement.
For customers in resort, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are operating a program of inbound flights up to and including November 8. They will contact their customers directly to advise them on travel options regarding flying back to the UK.
Jet2 plans to restart flights and holiday programs to Greece from March 30 and to Cyprus from February 13.
“This is an incredibly fast-moving situation and we will provide an update regarding other destinations as soon as possible,” Jet2 said.
Well they should have cancelled before now profit before people has put the people of Greece at Risk both the UK and Greek Governments should have acted before now.
