The campaign includes a short travel video that presents the island’s unique features and classy aesthetics with a modern twist.
Titled “The classy capital of the Cyclades”, the video focuses Syros’ history, the unique sites of its capital, Ermoupolis, the alleys of Ano Syros, the island’s beautiful beaches, traditional villages and fine local products.
Since its release, the video has attracted more than 1,260,000 internet users and has over 360,000 views.
Discovergreece.com, Marketing Greece’s promotional tool, has published a travel article on Syros in eight languages including English. Titled “8 highlights to light up your holiday on Syros”, the article features the new video as well as high resolution photos.
“The production of original creative material of high aesthetics, using all the modern means and digital platforms, aims to enhance Syros’ image and promote its unique elements and beauty… in line with the new circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic,” the municipality said in an announcement.
The digital campaign will run on Discovergreece.com and social media until the end of September.
