Greece is among the Top 10 most searched-for holiday destinations in the UK for 2021, according to a recent study conducted by Medical Travel Compared.
A travel insurance comparison site, Medical Travel Compared helps people with pre-existing medical conditions access reliable cover when traveling.
The company analyzed how many times Britons were searching on Google for “2021 holidays”, across a number of destinations during the first six months of this year.
Furthermore, it ran a survey to 3,000 respondents during the COVID-19 outbreak revealing that almost 85 percent are feeling optimistic about being able to travel freely next year.
Greece holds the eighth position on the Top 10 list for its picturesque islands, ancient sites, rich culture and tasty food.
The Maldives is the number one search destination for Brits.
Mexico ranks second followed by Bali in third place, Dubai at number four and Thailand in the fifth place.
“As a nation [UK] we’ve seen a huge rise in demand for staycations since the coronavirus pandemic, but our research reveals that people are longing to experience the world. It’s great to see that travel confidence for 2021 is high and Britons haven’t lost their wanderlust despite the various lockdown and quarantine measures currently in place,” said Tommy Lloyd, chief product officer at Medical Travel Compared.
